I was 16 weeks and 3 days pregnant when I first realized things weren't going to fit the same anymore. I'm not exaggerating when I say it happened overnight! I woke up one morning for work and NO pants fit. I remember frantically trying on 5 pairs and ...nothing.
That weekend I was hellbent on buying some maternity jeans. 1. I felt like it was a milestone in my pregnancy. 2. I was so curious how they would fit and what they would look like. 3. I NEEDED them. Off I went to the mall and spent a 100 bucks on two pairs of jeans.
My old jeans won't fit till after I give birth. When it came to dresses however, I realized I can get away with just buying a bigger size - at least throughout my second trimester. What I had to keep in mind was that the dresses had to be in a style where the larger size wouldn't look odd later when I got my pre- pregnancy body back.
I found this peach dress on Chicwish and got it in a medium - it's perfect for my mid-sized belly right now and I can easily pull it off after I have my baby as well.
