I wish I could say everything has been amazing since the day he was born and I wake up every morning with a huge smile on my face ready to take on every hardship motherhood has to offer. While many things are undoubtedly wonderful, a few aspects of postpartum life definitely caught me off guard. Big time.
Zidaan is 5 weeks old today. It’s hard to believe that my little guy is over a month old already. How time flies!
My sweet pea is here! And I've never been more in love. He made his debut into the world on February 9th. Before I forget details of my labor and delivery, I wanted to write a quick blog on my experience and share with everyone as well!
Everything from an adorable dessert table with a buffet of beautiful intricate mini desserts to a gorgeous decor table that included a trail mix bar and forest animal cookies, this set up was the perfect combination of rustic and elegance.
Welcome to my 3 hour pregnancy glucose test! I can’t tell you enough how horrified I am this morning of getting poked 4 times, that nasty sugar drink and no food. Definitely much different and more intense than my one hour glucose test last week.
Not sure how this is reality, but I have just about 9 weeks to go till the baby is here. Nine weeks. Single digits, people.
I can't believe I'm halfway through my 6th month of pregnancy. It's flying by so quickly! This baby bump has definitely popped again and the stretching of all my mid-muscles is getting quite painful. I still can't complain though, cause I've really enjoyed my pregnancy so far and it's been quite a breeze. I finally feel like I’m really pregnant. Like, there's no mistaking it as a sinfully large meal or me being weirdly disproportionate anymore. Thank the Lord. People don't ask me if I'm expecting anymore, they safely assume. Win for this prego!
From the moment I found out I was expecting to being 23 weeks today – my pregnancy has been a whirlwind of emotions and surprises. Nowadays, we have movies, our mothers, books and the media telling us what our pregnancy should feel like/ will feel like.
Most people who know me know I love celebrating everything and anything in life. A gender reveal party, in which we'd learn the sex of our baby at the same time that our family and friends would, seemed like a fun way to celebrate the pregnancy and our blessing to come.
I knew I wanted to do one funny announcement picture along with the usual sweet announcements with the ultrasound pictures. I was inspired by a picture I came across on Pinterest.
